Oracle Supports Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud

Oracle’s 11g Database, Fusion Middleware and Enterprise Manager now support Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). Oracle said Monday that customers can use their existing software licenses on EC2 for no additional fees as well as a set of free Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) to provision virtual machines with the Oracle software. According to Oracle, developers can rapidly build applications using Oracle tools like Application Express, JDeveloper, Enterprise Pack for Eclipse and Workshop for WebLogic.
